Descriptions:
This is an ultra low capacitance electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection device series of products. Single-wire ESD protection device that provides 0.5 picofarads (pF) capacitance and low clamping voltage.
This component is ideal for ESD protection applications and is ideal for high-speed data line protection for portable applications such as mobile phones, MP3 players, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and digital cameras.
With the use of updated integrated circuit technology, the geometric size is getting smaller and the operating voltage is getting lower and lower, and the ever-changing portable products are becoming more sensitive to ESD voltage damage.
At the same time, portable electronic systems also require lower capacitance to maintain the signal integrity of their high-speed data line applications.
Traditional off-chip protection solutions based on silicon transient voltage suppression (TVS) diodes provide low clamp voltage and fast response times, but their large capacitance limits their use in high-speed applications.
Polymer and ceramic varistors such as competitive off-chip protection technology to provide low capacitance, but their high ESD clamp voltage limits its ability to protect extremely sensitive IC from ESD damage.
